Jazz Dance Badge

In the Artz Collective Jazz Dance Badge Series absolutely any student can advance by following our specially designed step by step system, and practicing their exercises and dance at home.

As one of the few Performing Arts Schools currently teaching a level progression based program of Jazz Dance rather than holding Jazz classes with many age groups thrown in together, we think continually grouping children of different ages & abilities can be dangerous for the student’s development and can lead to them easily loosing interest as they cannot keep growing at a rate to keep them challenged and interested in class.

• Gaining a Jazz Badge  builds confidence in students , which can reflect in their daily lives and how they deal with the myriad of exams and assessments that lie ahead of them.

Parents can assist in & see there is a progression in class work and reward system.

Any other teacher is able to know exactly what to expect of a student or class. We know the grade a student is up to and what they should be able to achieve, even if we have never taken their class. 

The simple fact, from a teaching point of view, is that in all of our teacher;’s experience, students who don’t sit any level assessments or exams, be it ballet, tap, jazz or singing, do not progress at anywhere near the same rate as those who have a goal and are working towards it.

At the Artz Collective we have seen the benefits of our great Jazz Dance syllabus where teachers can instill unbelievable technical ability into students through Jazz Dance. We do however recommend technical ballet classes to anyone who wants to improve their placement, flexibility and strength, sit VCE dance or go further with their dance studies after high school.
